Anxiety, overthinking & overwhelm
Anxiety counselling in Lancaster and online.
Person-centred counselling with Tim Dodgson for adults experiencing anxiety, overthinking or overwhelm. A steady place to explore what is happening for you.

You may feel
Always alert, always analysing, never quite able to switch off.
Anxiety can appear as racing thoughts, physical tension, poor sleep, irritability or a sense that something is about to go wrong. Sometimes other people see competence while you feel close to being overwhelmed.
We can gently explore what your anxiety may be protecting you from, what keeps it going and what you need, rather than simply how to suppress it.
Feel heard
Put the thoughts into words without being told to “just stop worrying”.
Understand patterns
Notice triggers, expectations and the pressures you place on yourself.
Find your own way forward
Develop a more compassionate and sustainable relationship with yourself.
How I work
Space to explore anxiety without having to get the words right.
I’m Tim Dodgson, a qualified person-centred counsellor and BACP Registered Member. In our sessions, you choose what feels important to talk about. You might want to explore a particular worry, the pressure to keep going, or how anxiety affects your relationships and everyday life.
My role is to listen carefully and work alongside you, without judgement or pressure to reach a particular answer. You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation of why you feel anxious. We can begin with what life feels like for you now and take things at your pace.
